Cleveland Bible Camp Ends Successfully

A total of 160 persons attended the Cleveland Bible Camp north of Stuart the past two weeks, and directors claimed it to be the largest attendance inthe history of the camp. The Senior High Camp, which lasted from July 5-8, had a total 36 campers, 15 staff members, five temporary helpers, and five children, for a grand total of 61 campers.

The intermediate camp which lasted from July 10-15 had a total of 69 campers, nine senior high workers, six children, 18 staff members, and eight temporary helpers for a grand total of 110 persons. Eleven of the staff members worked at both camps to account for the discrepancy in the figures.

Campers hailed from Cleveland, Stuart and Atkinson with 15 from O'Neill, 3 from Randolph, 3 from Valentine, 3 from Bassett, and 1 from Madison. Camp Sunday, July 15, was the highlight of the session with Dr. George S. Bancroft as the special speaker. He delivered an inspiring sermon, at the morning service and gave a fine message at the closing meeting in the afternoon. Besides the campers and staff members there was a large attendance from Cleveland, Stuart, Atkinson, O'Neill, Randolph, and Bassett at Camp Sunday.

Those serving onthe staff included: Camp preacher: Rev. Roland E. Buskirk; Leaders - Mrs. R. E. Buskirk, Rev. and Mrs. L. F. Thompson, Rev. and Mrs. Richard Baumer, Rev. and Mrs. Curtis Barnett, Rev. and Mrs J. Olen Kendall, and Rev. and Mrs. D. D. Su.; Special Speakers - Dr. George S.   Each year something new is added. This summer a permanent roof was put on the girl's bunk house. New springs were opened for more water supply, new toilet facilities were provided, and a new cement floor was constructed for the dining room and around the kitchen. Tarps were rigged over the east side of the chapel for shade.

The Niobrara Presbytery is holding Junior High camp at the campsite for the second consecutive year, with a total of 73 persons in attendance, which includes 42 campers and 31 staff members and families. The date for this camp is Monday, July 16, to Saturday, July 21.
