Cleveland Bible Camp Enjoys Huge
Success
The annual Cleveland Bible Camp has
had two successful sessions this year, with a total of 115 campers. The
intermediate camp was held from June 22 - 27, with 51 children from 4th
through the 8th grades. The young people's camp was held from June 28 -
July 1, with 31 high school students.
The curriculum for this year
included Bible Study, devotions, study of missions, discussion on
religious problems, singing, handicraft, recreational activities, and
showing pictures in the evening. The theme for the intermediate's group
was "We Belong to the Family of God". The theme for the young people's
camp was "The Church". The intermediate's camp was climaxed by a Camp
Sunday Service for the campers and the Congregations of the three
churches. Dr. George S. Bancroft of the Synod of Nebraska preached both
in the morning and afternoon service. Following the morning service
there was a picnic dinner, then a demonstration testimony to their
Christian faith. Fred Schafer, Grace Allyn and Clarence Focken, Jr.,
took the leading part of the sevice. It was indeed a service of
consecration and personal witness.
